When I started running a few years ago, I realized that I was not running for the same reasons most runners were. I didn’t care about beating my time, I had no interest in running the big 6 marathons, and I didn’t care if it took me three times longer to run the same distance as another runner.
I started running during a very dark time in my life. Very little made me smile and very little motivated me to get out the door. Somehow lacing up my sneakers and going on a run, helped. It cleared my mind and it helped me to feel better.
