The Science Behind Pixar: Educator’s Guide & Activities

The California Science Center is hosting an exhibit on the Science behind Pixar. It closes April 16, 2017.

The website says that you should get tickets in advance. Use promo code: INSPIRE for a $2 discount.

The exhibit has been designed to teach kids about STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, & Math). It shows kids that animation is a process that first begins with an idea. Some of the character recreations at the exhibit include: Buzz Lightyear, Dory, Mike & Sulley, Edna Mode, and Wall-E.

The Science Center Website has a link to the Educator’s Guide for this exhibit. Even if you don’t plan on going, the pdf is worth downloading. The educator guide has some activities in STEM that are linked to Common Core Standards. Click here for the website that contains the Educators Guide, Activities, and videos.
