The Harmony of the Seas is the biggest and newest of the Oasis Class Fleet. I was privileged to have been a part of the naming ceremony in Fort Lauderdale, Florida on November 10, 2016. During my visit, I only had a sneak peak of the ship as it was getting ready to set sail on its maiden voyage to Nassau, Bahamas.
As a teacher myself, I was happy to see that the Godmother of the Harmony of the Seas, was not a famous TV celebrity, but instead a teacher. Teachers are almost always unsung heroes. People that dedicate their lives and go above and beyond to inspire and motivate children.
What does the Harmony of the Seas have that makes it special?
- A robotic bar
- An open elevator bar
- Two 10 story water slides
- Two wave runners
- Inside and outside balconies
- Central Park Area
- An ice-rink. Not only can you watch ice shows there, but you can also borrow a pair of ice skates and skate on the ice.
- The most eco-friendly ship in the Royal Caribbean Fleet. 20% more than any other of their ships.
